centesimi orange of King Umberto I, Scott #69, cancelled
with the railway postmark "MILANO-FIRENZE /
15.AGO.96". On reverse is the arrival of bologna of
the next day.

used in 1906 from Rome to USA, franked with 10 centesimi
claret of King Vittorio Emanuele III. Postcard of
very useful king with huge mustache. Postcard in
Very Fine condition.

envelope sent to Bari, franked with three examples of five
centesimi green fixed on reverse, and all tied by
"TARANTO-BARI / 23. 4.15" travelling post office.
Envelope posted on train with postmark repeated in
front. Arrival postmark of Modugno.
Registered envelope sent from Roma to Milwaukee, WI, USA,
franked with two vertical pairs of fifty centesimi violet
of King Vittorio Emanuele III, all tied by 1923 c.d.s.
with registration label alongside.

#B9c). Advertising Letter Card (with reply portion),
bearing Victor Emanuel III. 10 centesimi rose
overprinted "B.L.P." in lithography. Adverising includes:
AMARISSIMO ITALIA (a "bitters" aperitive),
SILA bottled water, Tires for automobiles, Taylors for gentlemen, military and ladies, Printers of handstamps, tags, and other engravings, Commercial Banking, Automobile Dealers PANCALLI, Hatters for ladies, Chocolate manufacturers, Shoes for gentlemen, military and ladies, Shirt makers, Pasta makers, and more. The card is extremely fresh and entirely without blemish.

fisrt air mail stamp. King Victor Emanuel Special Delivery
25 centesimi rose, overprinted "ESPERIMENTO POSTA AEREA /
MAGGIO 1917 / TORINO-ROMA-ROMA-TORINO", tied by c.d.s.
POSTA AEREA / ROMA-TORINO / 20.5.17, which is repeated
alongside. The return flight. Sassone 2009 catalogue value
is Euro 160.00, which is about US$ 222. Fine and fresh
||Sassone #16F. Forty
centesimi rose-vermilion on a complete folded letter sent
from Livorno (Tuscany) to Nice (France). The stamp
has clear to large margins, just barley touching the
frameline at one spot. It is cancelled and tied to
the cover by the small circle "LIVORNO 6 OTT. 63" (p.5),
which is repeated alongside. Also in front are the
black "P.D." and red entry marking into France. The
cover is very attractive and in excellent state of
preservation. The Sassone 2011 Catalogue value is
euro 385.00, which is about US$ 550.00.
