1900. Turkey Scott #96. Twenty paras violet-brown, vertical pair tied to the reverse side of an envelope, cancelled and tied by the twi-ring bluye "KERBELA" bilingual postmark, along side the British transit "BAGDAD 5 DEC 00", the Ottoman bilingual "BAGDAD 5 DEC. ...", then the British "BUSHIRE DE 20 00", and the Persian c.d.s. "BOUSHIR 22 12". In front is the arrival datestamp of "SHIRAZ /  ... 25...".The cover is complete, but had been folded at top, about 14 mm from the upper margin, probably for exhibition, leaving  some damage. Otherwise, a fine and complete envelope, with uncommon set of fine and completely clear postmarks.

1921. Envelope sent from Mosul to Nova Scotia, inscribed "O.A.S.", endorsed at upper-right by commanding officer, and bearing the censor marking "M 294" in a circle, in black. There is a transit datestamp on reverse, almost certainly from Mosul, but the town is illegible.  The cover is in fine and fresh condition.
