Large format Die Proof (226 x 151 mm) prepared and printed from the American Bank Note Company, Ottawa, depicting Edward VII, Prince of Wales, in uniform, with medals, probably originally intended for stock certificates or bonds, and similar to the design adopted for 2 cents orange postage stamp of Newfoundland issued in 1897. In this design the Prince faces to the right. There is also a bank note of Canada with face value of $20, issued in 1911, with a similar effige and uniform, facing ot the left.
